Jagan's victory reverberates in Seemandhra

GUNTUR/KAKINADA: It was celebrations all over the coastal and Rayalaseema towns after Jagan and Vijayamma registered emphatic victories on Friday. With many of the party's top leaders including Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, Y V Subba Reddy were camping in Guntur to oversee the arrangements for the Jagan's proposed 48-hour raithu deeksha from Monday, the jubilations began in the morning and did not end till late in the night. Party workers gathered at many centres and started bursting the crackers. 
The towns and villages in Guntur, Prakasam, Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, both Godavari districts reverberated with sounds of anchors as the YSR Congress workers continued the celebrations for several hours. Sweets were distributed at many places and party leaders cut cakes. The party leaders too encouraged the cadres to make the election victories of Jagan and Vijayamma a big one as it would help take the party more into the grassroots.

Party leaders appealed to the cadres to celebrate the occasion in a big way as Jagan emerged as hero of the day. "Jaganmohan Reddy proved all equations wrong and made the 125-year old Congress and 30-year old TDP to bite the dust. He is here to stay and fight for the people," declared party chief spokesperson Ambati Rambabu. He asked Kamalapuram MLA Veerasiva Reddy and minister D L Ravindra Reddy to give up their assets to the TTD as per their vows made before the elections.

Meanwhile, the arrangements at the raithu deeksha pranganam were going on at a brisk pace after the party leaders decided to organise it a private land instead of BR Stadium. Party leaders Karunakara Reddy, MP Rathaiah, Marri Rajasekhar, Ravi Venkata Ramana, Lella Appireddy visited the site and asked the contractor to speed up the works, erecting tents and dais.
